Here&#8217;s the scoop &#8211; Home Prices are Climbing!<\/p>\n<p>The latest national data from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spglobal.com\/spdji\/en\/indices\/indicators\/sp-corelogic-case-shiller-us-national-home-price-nsa-index\/#news-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Case-Shiller<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fhfa.gov\/DataTools\/Downloads\/Pages\/House-Price-Index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Federal Housing Finance Agency<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(FHFA) shows they\u2019re going up (<em>see graphs below<\/em>):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/files.keepingcurrentmatters.com\/KeepingCurrentMatters\/content\/images\/20240508\/20240513-Percent-Change-in-Home-Values.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/files.keepingcurrentmatters.com\/KeepingCurrentMatters\/content\/images\/20240508\/20240513-Percent-Change-in-Home-Values.png\" alt=\"No Caption Received\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, home prices were rising for most of 2023. But over the course of December and January, they were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyingthemarket.com\/2024\/04\/22\/what-you-really-need-to-know-about-home-prices-1\/?a=1000025117-654188f2b9e9f721433bea74f0bf3424\">virtually flat<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 which is pretty normal for that time of year.<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s what you need to know now. As of February, when the spring market kicked off, prices were on the rise again.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Home Prices Are Going Up in Most of America&#8217;s Top Cities<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>After seeing a jump in home prices nationally in February, you might be wondering if they\u2019re going up in your area, too.
